The players of our National Futsal Team gave their all against Romania, coming close to a remarkable result but ultimately losing by the smallest of margins.
However, they earned the applause and admiration of the fans who watched the game, as they fought until the final minute for a positive result against a strong and high-quality opponent.
The final score was 4-3 for Romania, with the winning goal scored at 38:30.
Romania was leading 3-0 ten minutes before the end, but our National Team, with three goals by Charis Koulloupas, managed to level the game. Koulloupas scored at 31:24, 32:36, and 32:51.
Nevertheless, Romania, who is fighting for group qualification, secured the win with a goal 1:30 before the end.
Our team had the support of hundreds of students from schools in Nicosia. The students created a lively atmosphere and boosted the morale of our players in their pursuit of a positive result.
